The 16-grit tooling is most commonly used for coarse grinding and can be used for shaping, smoothing, and removing excess materials. It is designed to remove a moderate amount of material from the concreate surface, making it ideal for removing existing coatings and prepping the surface for new coats and polishing.
24-grit is also meant for coarse grinding but will provide a more fine and smooth finish than the 16-grit tooling will.
PCD 2 epoxy remover segments are a type of tool used to remove epoxy and other adhesives. PCD 2 segments are most commonly used for removing epoxy from concrete, stone and ceramic surfaces, and it can also be used to remove paint, rust and other debris. PCD 2 epoxy remover segments are made with a more coarse grade of diamond grit and are suitable for coarse grinding and removing excess materials.
PCD 3 epoxy remover segments are made with a finer grade of diamond grit, and used for finer grinding, polishing, and honing. While PCD 2 segments are used for removing epoxy, PCD 3 segments are better for cleaning, polishing, and any other finishing touches.
